This mod doesn't care what depot is put down, when you make a line you have to specify which vehicle types are allowed on that line. If you don't, it will randomly choose vehicles that are available for your game which fits your line type.

I have the same problem as you do and I want to know how to set this too. I tried setting it by using the drop down to choose the bus I wanted to spawn for the specific bus line one-by-one.
Then I choose the magnifying glass found beside the bus line and removed all the other buses. After finishing this task, I again went back to bus line 1 to find another random bus has spawned from it, necessitating manual removal.
I was wondering if I'm missing something as random buses still kept spawning.

Just wanted to add that I also have this issue. I can manually delete the wrong bus types, and can manually add bus types, but the Bus Line type selector in the lines overview menu is mostly ignored, and attempting to remove the wrong bus (particularly school buses) automatically turns off budget control, and requires re-enabling.

I can manually add the bus I want, but trying to select specific types in the menu again turns off budget control, and also has the tendency to be ignored anyways, since selecting specific types seems to add them to the queue rather than indicating which bus types are allowed/prohibited. It's not clear in the UI what exactly is going on/wrong, and what the right way is to fix it. I do enjoy this mod, but the random school buses and lack of control (or rather, the mere appearance of it that fails to work) is very frustrating.

Then don't enable it. The money cost you not base on the budget slide, it's base on the number of vehice in your city.

You can disable "Budget control" and then via "Select Types" add/queue the ones you want.

And remove the types you don't want via "Remove Vehicle".

Just make sure you DO NOT enable "Budget control" again.
