Even if I put down the huge walls inside the ground (so the entrance is on the right side), I can't put in 3 of the 5 wall plugs (only 1 slidinng door and 1 window can be placed). It either says "too high above ground" or "can't place structure here". I guess that's because the foundation is so far into the ground.
Is there anything you or I can do about that?
As I've said before, and the video shows, you can snap our foundation to a vanilla foundation. This can give you a little more height to possibly clear the below-ground issue. From ther eyou can snap ramps to those foundations. You can also snap ceilings and foundations to our foundation at the locations where the tall wall would have openings. And again, you can snap ramps to those ceilings and foundations.
Snapping S+ foundations to the A(viary) foundation does work at the moment, unfortunately only a little bit:
I tried placing the S+ foundation as much out of the ground as possible to have the highest snap point for the A foundation, unfortunately the A foundation doesn't snap then. The S+ foundation can't be above ground more than 75% of the way, otherwise the A foundation just won't snap and even with those 75%, I can't plug up more than 2 holes in the huge wall, so no change there.
I can't even snap the elevator plug in the middle because it's half way in the ground.
Stacking S+ foundations sadly doesn't trick the A one either, it only snaps to the lower one.
There really seems to be something wrong with snap points:

The wall only goes into the ground on the right and compared to where I had a huge wall the last couple of weeks that's nothing and yet it won't snap.
Same thing when I snap the A foundation to the stone one (S+) in the middle, to the S+ one on the right it won't even snap.
Screenshot 7 on the "description" page shows an elevator that is snapped to a track below a floor. Is it possible to also snap a floor to that elevator, so go downwards from the cantilever foundation instead of upwards?
In that though, the last update REALLY screwed with snap points across the board. Things are snapping that shouldnt, and some that should dont. We are still waiting for the official release of the dev kit to catch up so we can get that fixed.
As for building floor below... short answer... No. Its more intended as a way to have an elevator drop down to access the lower edge of a cliff or whatever. But.. there is no reason yhou wouldnt build whatever else below it.
Ah, I see. If it had been possible I would have made another level underneath to put a farm there (with the cantilever foundation further out above the "cliff"). The wall of the lowest floor would have been into the cliffside by about 30% (if it would have even let me place it there) but since it's not possible to snap it to the elevator, it doesn't really matter then because I can't ghost through the cliff to place the foundation anyway to have the door face the right way (to build from the bottom up). No worries. ;)
Edit: What I was trying to build:

The top has the door on the right and I'm going to use it for bred dinos once it's finished (going to add another floor for smaller dinos).
The bottom one has 3 doors on the left and is going to house a farm. It was a ♥♥♥♥♥ to line up with the top Aviary (because it wouldn't snap to an S+ foundation on the left - at least not the right way) and there's this gap between them that I can't fill (plus a hole for a door in the back that is too far inside the hill to put a plug in it) but I'm glad to have it even line up like that. Plus, the elevator might actually go down to the bottom Aviary, which would be awesome!
You did a hell of a job lining that all up! I THINK that our next update will include a short wall section. Basically the center ring of the huge wall. This would work great for you to use on top of what you alread have built on the lower level. It would increase your height just enough to put a floor right above the ground on the higher level, and then keep building up from there. Giving you one complete structure.
