Maybe Tiger Spits or Tiger Shards, would be neat to have some sort of ranged combat

Brain bugs somehow?

Make the common mobile infantry rifle standard and the scoped variation the sniper

Perhaps if there isn't so much overlap, some content could be brought in from the Roughnecks TV show? It would be really useful for vehicle designs, I think. Maybe also for some specialist bugs (like the Blister/Blaster bug).

Well, the youtube link was taken down, so all I can really find are some choppy stills from the wiki unless you want to risk going to some virus infested site or buy the series on amazon.

The show is really corny (it was for kids, after all), but the bug designs were pretty solid, and the vehicles and equipment they used took inspiration from both the book and the film.

This thing had a short ranged acid spray, so it could function like an elite soldier with a shotgun.

If the acid spray isn't that exciting, this thing shot beams of pure heat out of it's mouth, but was vulnerable to explosives.

This thing fired acidic spines, and exploded when it died. It's wings would allow it limited flight, but I remember in the show they mostly just used them to jump super high.

This thing was basically a combination of a crab and a spider. It fired webbing to cacoon people; perhaps it could have an extremely slow firing stun weapon? It's also larger, so it could make more of a target.

This was the only federation vehicle I could really find that wasn't a fan design. This thing hovered a few feet off the ground and (if I remember correctly) had an MG turret in the back. Due to it's size, I would say this would work best as an APC, as it carried the whole "Squad" of around seven people in the show.

Then again, judging by your work on the next type of arachnid you want to add, you might not really want these; you might be able to design things that are more interesting than these. Regardless, if this was of any use, I'm glad to have helped.

Thanks, some good work there. Not 100% happy with my initial artwork for the new bug, maybe can try a few of these shapes.

How about some of the Marauder mech suits from either the Roughnecks series or Starship Troopers 3?

Scorpion bugs (SST 3) as a ranged bug unit?

A game mode or map where you have to destroy the brain bug as a a final objective.

What about adding the Skinnies as ranged bug infantry, or as another faction on their own?

Or perhaps the imposter bugs?

Oh, and I'd suggest adding a few more guns for the Troopers ^^ and perhaps give the Arachnids, or some other bug that'll be added in the future, the power to throw those 'grenade' mite things from the third movie!

Skinnies would be their own faction and may not be possible. Have not tested using any skeleton other than the current from vox editor.

Their is already one exo suit ingame (meant to represent scout armor, MASE = Mobile Assault Scout Exosuit) and have added another more durable one (meant to represent warrior armor, MAWE = Mobile Assault Warrior Exosuit). In the future I'd like to have vehicle type exosuits that would be more similar to something from Mechwarrior/Mauraders, but that will require me to find a free modeling software that import/exports .mesh and learn how to use said software!

Probably, but I have never seen the number specified in the books. I just guestimated from some movie clips and then compared to ingame balance.

Man that would be totally awesome for a gamemode! No clue how to do it though.
As for the scorpion bug....the tail piece might be a bit tricky to get right. I'll see if I can make one up and temporarily add the model as a lampyre.
