No there is not. The difficulty only gets higher when more players join.
Also, a little tip if you want to play it all by yourself, TAKE COVER!!

Use trees, boxes and other stuff to hide and then shoot. Its not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Doom.

yes i take cover and thankfully i have thirdperson addon so it is easier now.
