Do I need BM part 1 installed to play BM: Xen?
Hi, this might be a stupid question but I've just realised, to my annoyance, that after playing through Black Mesa a couple of times (this was the original free version from 2012) that I must have deleted it. Is it possible to download BM: Xen without having the first game on my PC? Or do I have to get (i.e. presumably buy) BM all over again in order to play Xen?

Your question confused me a little, I apologize if I suddenly misunderstood you because of a translator.
If you want to install Improved Xen without buying or installing Black Mesa, then you just need to download the Source SDK Base 2007 tool on Steam and the corresponding version of this mod on the Moddb website, the installation instructions are in the archive.
You can also buy Black Mesa here, but then you definitely need to install it and then download this mod directly from the Steam workshop.
