Folks,

A lot of you have been posting comments, hoping that I would edit this mod or create a second version of this mod that doesn't have any swear words. That I, a 32 year old man who moved to another country with a career, would take time out of my busy schedule to go relearn the Lua add-on system attached to a twenty year old game engine. That I would censor lyrics to songs and words to quotes for inside references from a decade ago, that were already completely irrelevant to it's time then, and continue to be to this day.

I originally played Garry's Mod when I was in high school, until around the end of college, and admittedly further beyond. Through this game I've made a surprising amount of lifelong friends, who I cherish and still talk to today. People who I've traveled thousands of miles to meet, and likewise they've traveled similar distances to meet myself. Norway, Finland, Germany, England, Canada, Ireland, and across the USA just to name a few. Without Garry's Mod, I would not be the person who I am today, and for that, I cannot thank Garry and the team at Facepunch Studios enough. Garry's Mod is an important part of late 2000s internet culture, and it's astounding it maintains the level of hype today.

While everyone here is playing this in high school, chaser NPCs and Skibidi Toilets are what's hot right now. When I was playing this in high school, YTMND and Idiots of Garry's Mod were the business. Garry's Mod wasn't a paid game, but rather a folder you dropped into the sourcemods folder in Steam. Kitty0706 was, and still is, a legend (RIP big dog). No one knew what the ♥♥♥♥ a Reddit was, and they certainly didn't know what TikTok was either.

Garry Newman was still cooking this mod in his house in Walsall with a few people on a phpBB forum called Facepunch, and not developing with hundreds of people worldwide from his cozy, giant office in Birmingham. Twenty years ago, he never thought he'd be making millions from reintroducing the physics cannon back into Half-Life 2. Or that his video game would completely shape the face of the internet for decades to come.

What I'm saying is: I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old. I'm a grandpa in the eyes of you zoomers and alphas. You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ would send me out to the pasture at a moment's notice, with your split-screen, narrated short form videos that are narrated by a computer. With your Obunga chasing NPCs, and your parkour SWEPs. I don't know who you are, and I want you kids to get off my lawn.

Don't like the swears? I don't give a ♥♥♥♥. Learn to grow a pair. My generation turned out absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and ill-prepared for the apocalypse that the baby boomers have created for us. But you know something? At least we'll die before the ozone layer is completely trashed, and the tides take over the coastal towns, and massive migration and water shortages happen from climate change. You kids can't say that, but you'll be too busy worrying about the eight year old Garry's Mod addon with a quote from King of the Hill that says "I'm gonna kick your asses."

So, with all that being said, I won't be modifying this mod to remove the swear words. Garry's Mod still ostensibly requires an ESRB rated T or above game (Half Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, etc.) to play properly, and therefore is considered an ESRB T game in my eyes, which includes the language used in this mod. If you aren't comfortable with this language, consider uninstalling. None of the words are racially or sexually sensitive, and are quotes from other pieces of media that do the same.
