What do you think W.A.S.P stands for?
The moment I saw the name of the weapon, it made me think about what it really stands for. I first thought something like "War Artillery Special Pulverizer" or something like that.

Tell me what you think about this.

"Wire-Aimed Suppressing Projectile"
Something like that. Considering that the first person in the Stats suggestion mentioned that it should be guided to where the crosshair is aimed supports the idea of "Wire-Aimed"

"Widely Abusive Seeking Projectile" 'cause that would be way too OP (maybe).
"Winged Autonomous Smart Projectile" sounds more serious.
