That's strange, I always found the option right above the 'do you have any tasks for me?' choice. Have you tried to restart the game and try again, or look at the 'May I ask a Question?' section? They might help.

I have tried asking in private but the man wont let me. Should i speak to the person that gave me the quest?

You have to attack the lord's party and literally rescue the daughter from the lord

I figured it out. I was ret....arded and I was reading the name as another persons name. You can just pay to get the person back.
