Only if their army is smaller, of equal size or slightly larger. You wont be able to take on King Ulric's 300+ army of knights with 200 men, unless you play on easy or have two dozen Noldor warriors with you. You also have to amass a lot of coin before you're able to field a superior army. That said, the AI IS somewhat stupid as you can always lure them into attacking you headon. But your comment is somewhat off topic: My complaint was about the situation when you start your own kingdom with few vassals and have to fend off two or three enemy kingdoms at once and then being unable to ransom one of your small bunch of lords.
Yes, you will. I'm quite sure that by customizing, he meant CKO. Properly trained, 200 of them will have little or no problem with any lord's army or even 3-4 armies at once.
On topic, the only mod I know that allows something close to what you want is called "Diplomacy" where you can exchange prisoners, but not ransom them with money. I don't know how to make two mods work together, but you can search for a solution. Also, I'm not sure if this mod is compatible with "Diplomacy".
I suppose these mods are not compatible, but I'll take a look. And yes, you can beat (almost) any lord with an upgraded KO force, but that's pretty much late game as you'll need a lot of money plus at least one town/castle. The real challenge isn't beating single lords forces anyway, but to beat their armies which can number up to 2000+ depending on the state of their realm or more in case of rogue armies (Eyegrim or Wolfbode) and you wont be able to do that on your own unless you can field 300 or 400 Noldor and have a high tactics skill.
