I noticed a huge issue. When I send my Abrams out into battle, I expect it to kill everything in one shot at a range, and have its frontal armor laugh at the enemies shells. This is not the case in this mod sadly, because the whole point of the M1A1 is to have a "one shot one kill" motiff, and if it gets caught it can survive with its excellent armor. But when my Abrams was taken down the second it got into battle, my overall appreciation for this mod went down a lot. I expect one Abrams to be enough, as in real life.

But why would you want to make this more realistic? Because it is so much better! I dont want to be forced into a cycle of spawning six Abrams every five minutes because they get taken out like a fly, or I don't want my lightly armored tank destroyer in c.q.b because the range limitations are really strict.

I believe it was a T-72, exact type I dont know, they all look the same. The Abrams I was using was the final one you can get in the list, the name escapes me however, and the shot hit directly on the front of the tank, which would have bounced if it were irl

the t72, even though it just says AP, only 3rd world countries use regular AP. so just guessing, he gave the shell the properties of the uranium capped shell.

Even then the 125 on a T-72 could never pen an Abrams frontally

I have the Abrams's armor structure diagram.It says the lower front part of vehicle body is only spaced armor,not composite armor.Which meams its lower front part of vehicle body is weak enough to be penetrated by an 125mm gun.By the way,other structure diagrams shows the challenger tank's lower front part of vehicle body is only a 80mm homogeneous steel armor.Without ERA it could be easily penetrated even by a WWII tank.

Ofcourse,Abrams's turret front and higher front part of vehicle body is strong.

Can you link the diagram you used? I thought foe sure the armor of the Abrams, the exact specifications, were classified?

just so you know, the abrams has a frontal layer of uranium, and another layer of some kind of sponge like armor (i forgot the name) that reforms the armor if it is deformed due to damage. the m1 abrams has an estimated of effective thickness of over 600mm, but it is just a game after all.

Only some places of some models of Abrams have over 600 armor. the lower front part of vehicle body obviously not in the list

Are you taking into consideration that the Abrams armor isn't just steel armor? It has a ceramic layer and it is using specially forged steel that is much stronger than anything the russians had and in some cases have these days, the ceramic layer is meant to shatter the hardened AP shell making it completely useless.

The T80 can kill it at any distance up to and including like 230 meters in this game

So you want to make the abrams an OP roflstomp machine that can't be beaten? Laughable, you truly are a moron if you think the mod maker wants to cave into your demands to make the game unbalanced as ♥♥♥♥. Late T-72B and T-80U should be able to take the abrams out frontally, and vice versa. I hope you arent getting your bias info of Russian/Soviet tank standards from the Iraq war, those T-72 were pieces of ♥♥♥♥ and nothing like the Soviet T-72B and T-80 of the time. I agree however that models before the 72B 1989 should have a tough time against the best abrams you can buy.
