THREE major issues with the mod
The first major issue is that this mod has a function that gets annoying and breaks other mods functionality.
That is that the nanobots ignore shields/safe zones and can specifically grind blocks owned by enemies in general, which breaks mods like darkstar's shields, and the 'faction safe zones' mod.
I'd love an option to just disable this funtionality to grind 'enemy' blocks. It's far too easy to have a shield, go up to an enemy and just let it grind away through a safe zone/shield.

/disable grindenemy

or something similar would work nicely.

The second issue is that the block builds without ownership, allowing players to bypass block limits and pcu limits just by using a projector and the nanobot builder.
This causes issues for admins who set limits, as since they're bypassed, if something happens to the players grid, it can't be restored properly because the player was able to bypass rules.
Again, this can be an option to force ownership of blocks (both build ownership and block ownership), something like

/force ownership

or similar would probably be fine.

The players enjoy this but I just have such a headache when there are issues and would like those fixed, or made into commands I can enable/disable.

made an empty world, attempt to edit config, but you can only use specific values and some aren't shown either.
The fact it doesn't give block ownership (builtby) overrides limits on my server and it will on all other servers too.

These config options disable the grinding of enemy blocks, and also grinds any unowned (completely unowned) blocks. There should maybe be a pirate option so NoOwnership Pirates (to grind pirate grids)
(seems to only work in SP!!)

There are other values that can be used by themselves to have a different setting, not shown in documentation.

But I am requesting that blocks built by build and repair are assigned to the owner of the build and repair so block limits cannot be bypassed so easily.

The issue is... build and repair could essentially crash a server by allowing build and repair to build itself over and over bypassing any and all known block limits available.

Is it possible i can just re-upload this with my own fixes? my players enjoy it, but it's got 3 issues with it and i've overlooked one but It just causes major issues.

1. No ownership when blocks are built, which bypasses block limits (bad)
2. grinds enemy blocks (semi-fixed with config option)
3. block cost is far too small for what this does. i've had massive ships show up within 3 days of people playing... way too much power for a 'noob'.

Sorry for the late response, but I've been a little bit 'inactive' for a while ;-)

The bypassing the block limits and the safe zone is a long know issue and I really like to fix it. But this is something I can't do on my own. Keen has to fix there mod api, so that the needed functions are available for modders. I've reported this cap a long time ago in different channels to keen, without an reaction.
I'm sorry for that.

Have you made a post on the feedback site requesting this? If so, i could try and push it to the people I know and see if they can do anything.
I'm not 100% sure what needs to be done but I can at least push a feedback option if it's posted.

That's probably why, this isn't on the feedback site... generic post about 'modapi issues' won't really help because it's just going to get looked over. We need a post about these specific issues (regarding this mod and others) that need the ability to access build ownership/limits.
Otherwise it abuses the game mechanic made available by the breaks in the mod api.

I'd post it but i'm not sure what to post.

I've sent it up the chain as best i can... knowing keen it'll get done a year from now.
I'm trying my hardest to push this and a few other major issues w/ servers.

This is possible in ModAPI now, i pushed it as hard as I could to the devs and i guess it caught wind when i labeled it as an exploitable feature.

I don't remember exactly but it's on the update notes.

edit: New options are builtby setter and iswithinworldlimits open to use.
