Why do doctors prioritize the kitchen sink?
I have a kitchen sink in the kitchen and plenty of bathroom sinks. When they need to wash a patient, I've noticed that doctors will walk right by the bathroom sinks and take the long way around to get to the kitchen sink instead. Does this mean I should build a kitchen sink in the hospital instead of a basin?

Here's a pic illustrating what I mean. The patient is in the top-left and the bathroom sinks are next door, but instead the doc is going to bypass them in favor of the kitchen. https://imgur.com/a/wLdZ1sv

its likely that the nearer basin is either already reserved by someone else, or its set to private, or gender restricted, or some other kind of restriction like social properness, and because of the way thing finding works the sink is the preferable fixture to use because its the next closest usable one, because of the way region scanning and global searches work, you either have to supply some extra basins in hallways, or create a shorter path to that sink.

Hmm. I think there's something else at work here because I can guarantee that at least one of those sinks was available for use. Ah well. Thanks for the input.

The thing is that the doctors never use the bathroom sinks anymore, ever since I built that damn sink lol

i don't have that issue in my test colony, doctors use all sorts of basins in halls, restrooms, in the hospital, and the kitchen sinks, depending how close they are

Thanks for looking! That is bizarre. Then it must be some weird mod interaction. I'm going to try to narrow the problem mod down myself with a test colony using my mods. If you have any tips, let me know!

I've had this annoying thing as well.
Try installing a water fountain nearby.
They seem to be a popular choice when washing patients. :)
