Seperating Radiator and Shower Hot Water Sources
Hello, I have been enjoying this mod so far but I have run into the following problem:

I have a set of boilers and hot water tanks to create and store hot water to be used in power shower's and radiators. This system is also connected to thermostats in the rooms that contain radiators which regulat the hot water usage so that they do not overheat the rooms. Unfortanetly this does not control the usage of the radiators but limits the temperature the boilers opperate at. As a result if rooms are warm enough the entire system will stop heating water leaving power showers without any hot water. Simultaneously if I enable the 'override thermostat' option, the radiators will opperate continuinaly and overheat the room. The solution that I am trying to implement is two seperate pipe lines, one that connects boilers to power showers without any connection to radiators or thermostats, while there is another seperate pipe line that connects the radiators, thermostats, and their own boilers. This has prooved to be very difficult since there cannot be any connection between the two lines at any point meaning they need their own water supplies, additionaly this requires that the pipe lines do not border at any point which is quickly becoming very iritating to deal with. Is there anyway to solve this problem within the current mod? I have found no way to make two different pipe lines that do not connect when adjacent, and using airconditioning pipes and AC units to regulate temperature leaves my rooms with no way to heat themselves in the event of cold weather. All help is apreciated!

One thing I am sure of is that you cannot overheat a room if the desired temperature you specify stays tolerable and heaters continually heat water regardless of quantity used. The problem therefore lies on the amount you produce vs the amount you use. If you have tons of excess heated water then you wont encounter any issue and an empty heating tank if otherwise.

radiators can't heat past 21c so you can just leave them on, its as if a pawn it turning down the valve on the radiator, and the thermostat on the hot water tank overrides room thermostats if the hot water falls too low so im not sure what the problem is

Thank you both for your responses, its good to know that my radiators will not overheat my rooms by themselves, but this still leaves the problem of a room being too hot due to other circumstances like a heat wave. If a heat wave occurs and I am still using thermostats, the boilers will turn down and deprive my showers of hot water, if I am not using thermostats, the radiators will continue to heat rooms that are too hot due to the heat wave.

In regards to both of your solutions:
< blank >, I agree, but the problem is that how much hot water I produce is linked to the thermostats, the thermostats will alter what temperature, and thus how much hot water is produced, the boilers opperate at so if my rooms are hot, the boilers wont make hot water which makes creating any kind of surplus impossible without ignoring thermostats.

Dubwise, I did not know that you can put a thermostat on a hot water tank, how exactly does this work? My initial concern is that even if the thermostat on the boiler maintains a constant supply of hot water, the radiators will then use that supply constantly since it appears there is no way to regulate their use other than turning valves manually which I would like to avoid.

click on the hot water tank, it has a thermostat control toggle, if temp falls below 25% then it fires up a boiler for a 1 hour burn, the hot water tank uses 100 units of heating, same as a radiator, unless the whole central heating system is limited to a very low capacity then you wont be out of hot water

you can force the heating system to have limited capacity if needed, like if you want to save power on the electric boiler, and a lot of the time even if the rads and hot water tank are down to like 50% its still enough to heat rooms in mild weather, or you just leave it cranked to max and let the boilers pulse with the thermostats, and if you set your room thermostat for a little under 21c then the pulses will be even shorter

When you say that 'if temp falls below 25% then it [hot water tank] fires up a boiler for a 1 hour burn" what is this % determined by?

the red bar on the hot water tank, thats how hot it is, like a radiator, its just instead of heating a room its drained slightly when pawns use hot water

Oh I see, thank you for your help this fixes the exact problem I had, now I can maintain a supply of hot water regardless of my radiators usage, thanks a ton!
