pawns will not use a private bathroom if someone has anything in there reserved for a job, showers don't have the def settings for being a socializing spot, you either have another building type in the room that can be a socializing spot like a table, or they just randomly picked the bathroom to hang out in, bathrooms are also set to be avoided rooms when it comes to wandering around, any cell in a bathroom is considered off limits for that kind of activity, there is only so many patches i can do to the game, it was not designed for complex system like hygiene and privacy like that, and the vanilla game has much bigger problems when it comes to that kind of stuff

Sounds like they just think the showers are super comfy then ;) . Thanks for the response, I'll probably just turn privacy off, since guests are relaxing socially in there with some frequency.

often the position is all that matters for that kind of stuff, because of the way rimworld picks locations, so if you turn that spot into a sitting area and move the shower then it might be fine
