Skylights can't be built above existing crops without harvesting them
Why do crops have to be harvested before placing skylights above them? So annoying losing all those growing crops. Surely pawns can use ladders to reach the ceiling or something without having to destroy the crops underneath the skylight??

general annoying game limitations that require harmony patches that i haven't got around to researching how to do yet im afraid

i just checked this and its actually not happening at all, so im guessing you might have a mod thats causing that to happen

Dunno but I had to add this to Dubs_Skylight.xml:
<building> <canBuildNonEdificesUnder>true</canBuildNonEdificesUnder> <isEdifice>false</isEdifice> <isInert>true</isInert> </building> <clearBuildingArea>false</clearBuildingArea>

And make skylights movable/selectable via:
<minifiedDef>MinifiedThing</minifiedDef> <selectable>true</selectable>
