i have the same problem, ive unsubscribed, subscribed, restarted and still nothing

download it manually from here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=19675

and put it into the mod-folder under "c:/user/mydocuments/mygames/sid maier´s civilization 5/mods"

go to game and let it extract by its own. have fun!

I've subscribed to this, but it is not working. Is it MAC compatible?

it didn't install for me until I went into the mods menu ingame

1. Run Civilization 5
2. Select "MODs" in the first selection menu after the intro video
3. Click "Get Mods"
4. Search for "Faster Aircraft"
5. Click "Subscribe"
