Are you using any other mods?

i am using a sound effects mod and a mod that changes turok skin,is that a problem?i am not using a mod that interferes with the weapon system

Which mods specifically? It sounds like they're probably not the cause, but I'd like to check them, just to be sure.

Also I just noticed you don't own the game on steam. Are you by any chance using the twitch version? It has a small difference unique to it that can sometimes cause issues in very specific circumstances.

Gog is fine, I use it most of the time. However, on a hunch I tried testing it on the old 1.4.9 version of the game, and sure enough it crashes as soon as I try to equip sunfire pods. I try to maintain compatibility with 1.4.9, so I'll look into it, but unless there's some reason you're sticking with the older version, you might consider updating to 2.0.

I think I got it fixed. The standalone download is updated.

i updated my version and it worked too,sunfire pods no longer crash the mod,gonna get the new version anyway thanks man
