No, it's just poor calculation. Having the server max lvl be beyond lvl 120/150 actually makes Deities ridiculously strong and overbuffed...even if it's only a few levels. I strongly recommend lowering the server levels to 150 or 120, which unfortunately probably means you'd have to do a new game.

If you do not want to do that, there is one small cheat. Get a flying boss and plenty of fortitude vials. Fight the deity while flying, and when it summons minions, lure the deity away from the minions it spawns...they won't follow the deity unless they know you're there (that's why you must never land, so use those fortitude vials).

Even when it's 150, it's still a pain in the ass to kill deities on a high lvl dodorex.

essh Deities :D we found it easier with higher dino levels, it was impossible as vanilla thats for sure, with dino lvls up it was easy, but first time around like omegas, we trapped it.. using 4 megs's and 1 broodmother, made towers around it, had 3 mega's on the towers hitched and on attack target, then the other one with me and my friend on the brood and best mega them throwing rocks at it and poisen, the poisen slows down its recovery and was a huge help !
loads of blood vials and 30 + mins throwing things at it !
once on towers the minions find it hard to do much damage to you.
