Minimanticores seem to shrink when tamed.

General Observations

1-Wild Ones are the size of the first screenshot.
2-Wild active manticores when dotamed do not shrink in size.
3-Knockout animation is just the ragdoll death animation.
4-Dotaming a knocked out manticore creates the shrinked form (also what im assuming happens when you tame it without commands)

Ok, thanks, that first one, could you get a dino next to it as a reference for me please? A Direwolf would be perfect as that's what I've been testing alongside. It looks like it might be the ragdolling when torpid that's causing the shrinkage. I decided to use that in leiu of proper torpor animations, so it might be resizing the mesh again when waking. A shame if so as I really dislike it just standing like a statue when ko'd. Thanks very much, I'll take a look later on after work.

So yeah, it's definitely the sleeping ragdolling that's causing the shrinkage, shame because it looks so cool :( Gonna try and see if I can use another dinos torpor animations somehow, although I don't think I can, if not then statue tame it will have to be.

Edit, ok, actually I have something that works, it's not exactly what I want but it works. It's at least lying down. If I can work out how to do what I want to do with the animations then I can get it breathing as well, but it's not a major issue at the moment, and it fixes the whole shrinking when tamed malarky.

I'm guessing from the DPS it's the bite/claw attack but just want to double check.

I think it was both bite and stinger attacks, but most notably the bite attack. Was killing fish from 6 feet in the air.

Manticore mane texture not working.

Manticore range is still broken (hits really far in front of self)

and here are the stats on a 120 manticore i tamed:

9547 health, 7320 stam, 3350 weight, 732 melee

I think it's stil a tad bit rough....also C attack doesnt seem to shoot poison globs, and i cant tell if right click venom is working....everything else seems solid!
Oh, also, manticore landing is very buggy. even if falling, does the "landing" animation....ended up doing ti about thirty times as i tried to wiggle out of a corner.

Yep noticed the fur texture, not sure why that's happened, but should be an easy fix. I may have adjusted the wrong thing for the attack range. C attack doesn't shoot a ball, it's just an effect with a large AOE, and that's some pretty beastly stats, I'll take a look at some of the scaling. Ta muchly.
no problem. It's kind ridiculous, but i cant wait for this to get fixed. Again, thanks so much for doing this!
more bugs, from a friend:

lvl 76 maticore/ 5400 health, 3540 stam, 100 oxy, 6000 food, 1550 carry, 370% melee, 6800 torper

sorry...even more issues!

You can hear Manticores from quite the distance away....

Running seems to be slower than walking.

Hitbox also seems big...wild aggro'd animals will take notice of it before it lands.

one last thing.


Movement speed seems to only effect walk speed. not flight or running speed
