Re: these crashes you mentioned, are there any common circumstances that trigger them? I've recently been suffering similar crashes, which seem to always happen during an autosave while fighting a Remnant Guardian. The (utterly useless) crash logs refer to a null pointer reference in the scripts\server\Orbital.as file's "tick" method (specifcally, the "sections" part of that method), but that method is identical to the one in the vanilla game's file. I don't know how much of this is old news to you, but I hope it at least helps a little.
The autosave thing is probably the most useful bit of data I've had all week, and only because it suggests that there might be something wrong in some save function or another. (And even so, that's a lot of save/load functions to analyze...)
