Airlock?
I'd like to make what is effectively an airlock for my freezer. Basically, I want to set up a short hallway with doors at either end and when door A is open, B is closed. Then, of course, when B opens, A closes. Hopefully this will help with keeping the cold air in the freezer. At the very least, it'll look cool.

Is that possible with this mod? I've JUST installed it and researched the first project and I'm excited to see what all can be done with it, but this airlock is the project I'd love to start with. I can see how it would also be useful with front doors/gates and such, so I'm hoping it's possible.

Thanks for the mod and thanks in advance for any light you can shine on this for me.

Also, how do you properly set up the radioactive fuses? I assumed you'd put them in line with the battery and the power conduit, but it won't let me build one on top of the conduit that's already in place, so do they go somewhere else? In between the batteries? Next to them? Off to the side linked to the conduit?

Halp and thanks.

so I'm using channels 2, 3 and 5 for this.

To keep it simple(ish), the prox sensors on the image are the same channel as their number.

the door at 1 is the outer door, primary channel is 3, secondary channel is 5.
the door at 4 is the inner door, primary channel is 3, secondary channel is unset.

the preset mod below will do most of the setup for you (just apply AirLock Outer to outer door and AirLock Inner to inner from the preset cog)

the doors probably wont start on the correct macro actions or start with the wrong wait type, so you might have to draft someone and walk back and forth between the freezer and the exit or toggle wait type.

Basically the doors are channel switching to the other side so when it opens it makes sure it only closes when the other side has been triggered. by not having

The second profile on the outer door makes sure that if someone is in the freezer at the time that the door isn't left wide open.

unfortunately I foresee issues that might occur if multiple colonists enter the freezer, screwing up the macro timings, so might be easier having three auto-doors instead.

but as for the fuse, you put them in sequence with the batteries, I prefer grouping my batteries in sequence like in the picture, that way if a short happens on the wrong side of the fuse(s) you're less likely to lose all charged batteries (or if the surge doesn't get stopped by by the first few fuses you only lose some charge). it's also a good idea not to have additional paths going to your batteries, as that bypasses the fuses.

You absolutely rock. Thanks so much for taking the time to go over this in soooo much detail. It seems rare these days to see someone do that. Major kudos.
