head to fort amol, turn around and you should see a structure across the way, that is the abandoned prision, head to it till you see the river, then turn left, head up the side of it, you soon see a shack on the riverr edge, head to that, then look in the water under it, you will see a body, search it and has a map

If you look at Whiterun on the Map it's almost due east, on the other side of the north end of the big mountain. This is the area a bit east of Hillgrund's tomb, across the small lake, just east of the tomb. On my map it was listed as "Woodland Shack", before I found it.
