Setting the difficulty to hard or insane does not give the ai any noticable boost. Advanced
start doesnt work either, maybe it's because of set empire spawns?

Its really easy to surpass every other empire in like 10 years on normal.

Yeah, I played through a normal and I've noticed the same. I wasn't sure if it's just like that or if for some odd reason the AI isn't quite working. Not sure why the hard or insane wouldn't work, or the advanced AI, still trying to figure that one out.

Started with IIC ships mods, had to create custom races from pre-exicting once to use ship models.

Odd, I'll take a look at the names and see what's wrong.

The ships are not my mod and can not just use them. If you want to use them, you can just edit the empires before play. (And ensure that the new ai ones are set to always spawn so they replace the default)

Alfa Tsentavra (#131) isn't on the hyperlane map. It looks like it is, but isn't accessible if you have hyperlane travel. It's in the Northwestern quadrant, close to galactic center along one of the thin star chains.

Right now when the mod is enabled, any non-fanatic ethic doesn't count. I have a race with the militarist ethic, but they aren't getting any of the researches or the policies that should be set by it. Not sure if it's just me (I'm using quite a few mods), but this one in particular is the only one that I can disable to fix that bug :(

It's totally possible that it's a mod conflict, if other people aren't seeing this. I'm going to go through and do some more in-depth testing when I can.

I'm inclined to say it's your side somewhere, because I played a game as the mandalorians when I had xenophile and had no issue getting the tech. I'll keep an eye out though.

i can't see any boxes in the siuation log tab, and I also can't change any policies for my government. They simply don't exist. Things like "track on map" or "begin research" like to discover other alien life forms? I can't do any of that

I have not seen that issue, it must be a conflicting mod. This mod doesn't touch any of that.

turkana (#828) isn't on the hyperlane map. It looks like it is, but isn't accessible if you have hyperlane travel. it's south east of the sith spawn location, on the edge of the map.
