The latest update should have fixed a number of things, including the amount of piers that the boat dealers will spawn at, I can assure you there will be one just north of Balavu. As for the single player issues I and others cannot replicate them but maybe it was fixed in the same update.
There are a few known issues with loading of persistent saves disappearing some items, I promise to give it a good look in the next update :)
Adding wetsuits and rebreathers to the boat dealers is a great idea and I will put that in asap thank you!
Sounds like a great idea! We are looking into some features (think: smuggling) to make better use of boats and underwater gear - watch this space!
Just go to your map, game options, persistent save. Then restart your mission and choose load.
1. Select your recruit with his function key (ie F2)
2. Tell him to move next to an ammobox/car/container (middle click on ground)
3. Select him again (F2)
4. Press Y
5. Choose "Open Container"
And he will open the container closest to him and show you the inventory so you can equip him.
If you've done something like run over 6 gendarmes, steal all their kit and then steal the ammo crate they were guarding......and now your standing is -50 globally......how do you raise your standing up again?
Cos right now, no shop keeper in any town I go to will tell me where the weapons dealer is. All they ever reply is "I don't think I should tell someone like you that"......which I'm assuming is due to my standing.
Raising standing can be done most easily by killing criminals. You find them in the outskirts of towns with low stability, often in large numbers. They also have camps in the deep jungle that can be much more difficult to find, but the gangs in town will reinforce from those camps which might be a clue, or you can buy a quadcopter at a car dealer to help you find them.
Hope this helps :)
