put if u have ceilings as foundations enabled you can put ceilings out from your foundation then snap walls down so it looks like a foundation

If the ceilings are close enough to the ground its also possible to snap a foundation to a ceiling.
Once you have done that you can remove the ceiling.
You can use pillars from existing ceilings to get a ceiling low enough to the ground to place a foundation under it.

My problem is that I like the herringbone brick of the villager foundation but it isn't included as a texture for the villager ceiling, so I can't use it high up. And woe betide anyone building on uneven ground.

Although the afore mentioned method works for extending down, it increases the structure count to the point of affecting the fps of my server.
