Delayed closing option
Would be awesome to have the ability to set the auto close delay time cause when your on dinos sometimes it can get really hard to get in if the ground is even a little bit uneven and also would help with getting multiple dinos in the gate. I know the extra ark doors mod has this and i think the S+ doors do too.

+1 for this - being able to set a few seconds delay on auto-close would be REALLY useful for getting multiple dinos through a gateway, when you have some following you.

Or have it where it detects player/tribe dinos and won't close until none are within a certain (and adjustable) range. So you open the gate, go through on your dino and the gate will remain open until all your dinos are say, 5 tiles away from the gate.

Either way would be nice. I have switches on pillars far enough inside and outside for my caravan to get through and just jump off my dino, flip the switch to close the gate, and just keep going.
