Related to using other track mods that has not updated their surfacelist file. Try running only TVTP (latest version) and it should hopefully work :)

I think that is fine yes. Not spoken to Vin but he intended to update his mod too, if that is not updated yet I would wait until that happens.

having this happen on nearly every track and it's more than just the graveldark texture, I don't even have another mod installed

Sorry to hear. Hmm, fatal disk errors are hard, can mean a lot of thing. I would try to reach out on discord in their channels to see what other people has done when such problems has arrised. Know some have been successful in solving strange errors.
