General Failure error
I launch the game, click on mods, activate Continuum, then click Launch. General Failure error immediately follows a CTD.

Hi all!

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to participate in the remastering of Star Trek Continuum! As we are at an open beta we are expecting some bugs and wanted clear instructions on how to submit issues to us.

First, we will need steps to recreate the bug. Your game setup screen options, choice of race, era and the likes. And if it's not a crash-on-load we will need steps to follow to see the bug happen ourselves. We can't fix it if we can't recreate it!

Second, we will need the contents of your Homeworld Remastered log file, it will be in your Steam directory and in the same folder that HomeworldRM.exe is in. The first part of the path changes depending on where you install Steam, but the tail end is as below:

*\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release\HwRM.log

Finally, submit the bug to us through Facebook. You can send files (the log, screenshots, etc) and all that through the messenger function there. The URL to go to is here: Facebook[www.facebook.com]

Steam hadn't downloaded the mod file correctly, it had become corrupted. All he did was:

1. Unsubscribe
2. Find and delete "STCR.big"
3. Resubscribe

Unfortunately Steam can still stuff up the download, it's hit and miss >_<

Tried the above solution 5 times today and still certain eras (TNG and another) give me the access error.

What's the drop rate for steam downloading it correctly, and do I just need to keep deleting and resubbing?

I'm having the same problem.
ENT and TMP play fine, but TOS and TNG causes access violations.
Having redownloaded half a dozen times, I hope there's some sort of workaround...
Maybe another way to download the required files?

moddb.com I think is where they have the mod as well.

I've tried the above solution about 2-4 times myself, still can't launch the game with this mod. It just throws up the General Error warning in about six or seven different languages, then closes.

Are you sending the HWRM.log through on Facebook to the mod page straight after a crash so I can see if a cause was recorded?
