Red Flags Suggestion Board

To those offended by the cards, or disappointed that it's not like the original game

1. I state in the first line of the description, "This Mod is not intended to accurately recreate the official physical version of Red Flags." Even if I wanted to recreate every card, I couldn't have as I don't own the original physical version.

2. Secondly, I’ve noticed over the past few months that people are getting offended over a few of the Red Flags, specifically the “Transgender” card.

I’d like to point out that Red Flags is an adult game, usually played by a close group of friends who know each other pretty damn well. The truth of it is, for some people being transgender is a red flag. It’s not about bias or pushing my own agenda, that’s just a fact.

Let's pretend you're playing with two people, we'll call them Sally and Bob. Now, let’s say that Sally doesn’t like dating Transgender people, but Bob has absolutely no issue dating a Transgender person. That’s OK, both preferences are valid.

It’s simple, when Sally’s the single person for that round, you can play the Transgender card and she probably won’t pick that date. But if Bob’s the single person and you play the Transgender card, chances are he’s not going to be phased by it at all and you’ve ruined your chances at winning the round.

So to conclude, please stop being offended because someone else's preferences don’t line up with your own opinions. It’s a stupid card game with intentionally offensive and horrendous cards with the goal of getting a laugh from a close group of friends. It’s nothing more than that, a joke.

There are those who won't date black people. Doesn't mean it's okay to include it as a red flag.

Ok fine thats a fair argument people are allowed to have their own preferences, but how bout the Jewish as a negative card? Or the Genderfluid card? Or as a positive they are legally allowed to own slaves?

You are right but people are allowed to have their own preferences but by labelling it as red flag you are inherently saying that these things are bad and we should be grossed out by them. This isnt about preferences this is you labelling PEOPLE themselves as red flags instead of an action. Stop trying to hide behind your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of preferences and just admit your a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bigot.

Also why remove the Mens Right Activist card, It's just a preference right? You should've kept it in.

the concept of red cards is things/traits that are universally bad in general.
example. being racist, anti-semitic, and transphobic are red flags. they are universally bad traits.
simply being black, jewish, transgender is not a bad trait. its an identity.

its only a "joke" to you because you are none of those red flags.
if your playing with a black or jewish or trans friend, they'll act like its ok to save face,
but deep down they're not going to find it funny.
while you and everyone else laugh, because its not at your/their expense.

you can be creative with red flags without being a bigot.
example. "smells like dog breath" or "washes clothes with sour milk"

I just wonder why these traits were set as red flags instead of just traits. A "Red Flag" is a negative trait someone has that would make you not want to date them. The whole point of a "Red Flag" is that it's negative. I get your argument, and its perfectly valid if it was just traits, but I can see why people are getting offended because as a "red flag" its implying such a trait is negative and bad to have.
Just change it to the white cards, that way you keep the traits in the game, which is perfectly fine, but without the negative connotation added to it.

The whole point of this game is to add a negative trait to the other persons cards in an attempt to sabotage their efforts, thats the important thing to remember about Red Flags and what the Red Flag cards are meant to represent.

It seems pretty clear you're not trying to actually offend anyone and I'm not trying to out you as some kind of racist horrible person. Just this is a public mod and if you want to stop being accused of such things you're probably just better off changing the cards, it'll also help a lot of people to enjoy the game more.

Omg huys you are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ezly triggered. Try to play Cards Against Humanity to understand what REAL BLACK HUMOR is.

"OMG HE PUT TRANSGENDER AS A RED FLAG", I can't wait to play this game with my friends WHO ARE TOTALLY OK WITH TRANSGENDERS; BLACK PEOPLE; GAY PEOPLE and laugh about that, cause that's how humor works.
