Please do keep in mind that as a developer I need to identify the issue.
That means, to track down the problem, I need either one of the below listed things:
1. A crash screen with an error message.
2. A log file after the game has crashed.
3. If the crash can be triggered in a specific way (for example you need to do something and it can be recreated by anyone on the server) while there are no other mods enabled, then describe in detail how to trigger the crash.
The issue you described sounds like your friend has enabled some clientside mod which conflicts with Heavy.
I always test my mods with no other mods enabled, because it would be crazy to try making it compatible with thousands of scripts available on the workshop.
I tried enabling Heavy on a caves-enabled server and I tried playing with Movement Prediction on and off.
There was no difference, I was able to equip and shoot the minigun as many times as I wanted with no issues.
Since I cannot recreate the issue, I am not going to fix it (that is, if it's even this mod's problem and not some other mod which is enabled alongside it).
What about the toggle to let heavy eat stuff like monster meat tho? my friend likes that and the original doesnt have it (I like it too because I play webber so)
User choice is definitely something I want, but also I don't want to force everyone to update their copy of the mod for such a small update.

This error may have occured due to a mod you have enabled! You have the following mods enabled: "Heavy Weapons Guy"
Here is my crash log, disabling client mods didn't help
me too
Thanks! This seems to be related to the moonstorm event changes.
I'll look into it right away.
Hi, I have just updated The Heavy.
The issues should be fixed.
Changelog:
- Fixed game crash related to the Moonstorm Event update;
- Added a setting for the Heavy to be able to eat Monster Foods, if you do so desire.
Thousands thanks, also good new opinion)

I use heavy's minigun shot the cave monkey, the dedicated server crash when I kill it (occasionally), please fix this bug, it's pain to see those monkey steal everything but can not kill it with minigun ;l
I already made a new post, but I'm assume post here is easier to see, like this character, thanks for the hard working :)
Hi, this is a very specific error I was able to recreate after about 15 minutes of trying to trigger it.
I just pushed an update which should fix it.
