Capitalism Bank - couldnt load saved object
Hi, first off id like to say thank you to impulse for the capitalism collect. after ark updated i had reports the bank wasnt working, i went to check and when accessing the bank i discovered under the deposit button in red "couldn't load saveobjects correctly". ive tried a few things such as backing up the save file and then deleting all files apart from the bank global and bank index files. that didnt work so i deleted the index file and global file again nothing. I then tried to reinstall the mod via FTP hoping to solve the issue this way but again same message in the bank. is there anything else i can try?? I am reluctant to remove the capitalism mods and reinstall them in case it causes further issues such as players loosing items and the markets i have constructed around the map. Anything else i can try?? thanks

Anything new on this topic? How did your server behave after the backup and removing of savegame files, did it create new ones?

sadly not the only thing left i can think of trying is removing the and reinstalling the mod. im just worried doing that everything will vanish.

as long as you backup the savegame files, you'll always be able to restore it ;)
(the index file and account files are important, i also added a functionality to add account savegame files back into the index file if removed and readded later on)

as a last resort to rescue lost information.

tyvm :) hopefully i can get it to work again, it was working fine then after a restart it could not load :(

ive managed to bring the bank back :) just prior to removing the mod i had a brain wave...change the S&D the the alternative...hoping it would write a new index files and sure enough it done just that :) so if anyone has this issue change the S&D folder ....i had backed up the previous settings but cant find them so until i find them and test im unsure if they can be re-applied.

happy to help and a big thankyou for the mod :) great work.. oh i have also located the backups i made and re-applied them...on the first instance after adding them and accessing the bank my game crashed but have had no issues since.

@Black Phoenix - What did you do to change the S&D folder?

Did you just use the BankAlternateSavePath=True line in the GUS?

yeah i changed it from false to true, hoping it would write a new file and it seemed to fix the issue

Ok, so that seems like a yes, and a no.

Here's what I did. I saved my banking info to my desktop. Saved and stopped my server.

I added the line
[Capitalism]
BankAlternateSavePath=True

Started the server back up. Headed to the bank, and the error was gone and everything seemed to be working (besides there was no bank accounts) I then saved and stopped my server again. used FTP to upload the banking about info into the new saved folder area. Started the server back up. Went to the bank, and now there is the same error.

Is there a limit on how many back accounts that can be in there? Since the server I host has had well over 150+ join in over the past few months, there are a lot of accounts.

@vanbushi, i didn't set up a limit, but it could be that maybe an array is overflowing (UE and arrays of size 1k+ do cause trouble) ^^

Is there a way that I can unpack the bank files to see who the owners are? That way I can thin out the unused ones?
