Will this mod ever be fixed for servers?
I have tried using this mod for my server, but i can't hold any of the guns and get into any of the vehicles. from my very brief research, it appears this is not being actively updated. Is there any way to fix the mod for servers, or is it dead?

Main reason is probably because Rain is busy with Hawaii and the WW2 content. Remember that 'Nam gears and stuff were made mostly as a placeholder for when WW2 content was fixed when all the iron sights for guns were screwed up.
