Say you turned each single grenade into 4 pellets, you would shoot 4 pellets at a time, but would have to reload 16 individually (of course it's gonna be faster than regular, no one wants 4x slower reload maybe just 2x).
Each pellet would deal 35 dmg. With 140 on a meatshot. They'd explode on contact with surfaces.
So:
Replaces individual grenades with 4 small pellets (16 total) (35 dmg each)
Pellets Explode on Contact with any surface
Pros:
2x Faster reload speed
2x Max Ammo Carried
Cons:
Must reload each pellet individually
4 pellets are necessary to shoot, any less will not fire the weapon
