Can't Remove Brain Stimulator - just standing
None of my doctors can perform the "Remove Brain Stimulator" option on my colonist. I've installed an AI chip (how exciting!) and want to remove the brain stimulator, since it limits conciousness to 65%. When a doctor goes to remove it, they arrive at the bedside and then convert from the task of "operating on" to just "Standing", doing nothing.

Is this a known bug? Any fixes, or maybe an update in the works? I could just edit the savefile, but I really dislike doing that. It's more fun to stick entirely within the game.

Facing the same issue.
First installed the brain simulator and later added the AI chip. But conciousness was still limited to 65%. So I wanted to remove the brain simulator but having the exact same issue as OP.

I did end up having to modify the save file. It's a bit of a bummer as you lose the brain stim, but look for your save file and search for "BrainStimulator", and remove it from your colonist. There's guides on editing rimworld saves. Hope this gets patched.

Same problem here. While standing, the doctor spams errors into the log:
