If you go down the KMT political path, the final stop is the "Black Laboratory", where it mentions human experimentation.


I'm Chinese myself, and unfortunately that refers to one of the most horrific atrocities performed by Japan in the war, that I'm not going to mention or I'm gonna feel physically ill again.


But my main question is, did the KMT ever do this? Because that little thing seems like it's better suited for the Manchukuo focus tree.

Hmmm...I think that Black Laboratories should be given to Manchukuo then. Instead, the KMT should have a 'University Expansion' focus in its place.

So, if you pick Chiang as democratic leader, you now have two KMTs.

I was thinking how this would work historically, and it actually kind of makes sense.

In Rana Mitter's book, China's War With Japan, he points out that the KMT's political leanings went all over the place, from liberal to conservative to moderate to authoritarian. This allowed them to buddy up with the USSR, Nazi Germany and the USA at various points. Chiang was still a dictator, but his talent was keeping the entire KMT united. However, if he had chosen to back the democratic KMT wing rather than the authoritarian wing, a party split would be very likely.

So basically, in-game, if you make that decision, Chiang leads the democratic KMT and all the members that supported it, while all the members who didn't like it lead the non-aligned KMT.

Now, to sort out the problem of having two Chiangs, I have no idea how to solve that.

I think that perhaps Soong-Ching-Ling could be choice for a leader for the China Democratic League and re-name them the Revolutionary Comittee of the Kuomintang and put the standard leader for the RCKMT as Sun Fo

I know this is Cambodian history but I feel it is important nontheless; The Khmer Rouge was a flip flop party siding with the west when they saw fit and the east as well. Not to mention the fact that the Vietnamese communists defeated Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge. A better leader would be the Democratic Party led by Sisowath Youtevong
