Ponds in the Middle Mountain Heights
The visual level of the water is not on the same level as the actual water. Your head will be under water but the actual water level will be at your chest. Both ponds seem to be like this.

I experienced the same in the desert. Upper pond near the obelisk. Lower pond if fine.
