I think that dave's suggestion would constitute another mod as my suggestion in the main chat would, but it would certaingly be interesting, if horrendously slow to play.

I have already finished a mod that removes all oceans. But I'm not really happy with it... If you want me to release it, I will do so.

take out caspian sea and aral sea as well, and like Firelizardss said, make the lands steppes or something.
