We understand your question, yes on paper the speedhunter is superior, but some people actually requested a vanilla raft with only reverse. Because if you transport dinos the faster rafts can glitch your dinos off the raft.
So its mainly for the people who are satisfied with the vanilla raft, but only miss the reverse.
Out of my head, the speedhunter can build one wall higher and one foundation smaller I guess.
And don't forget you need to learn the vanillaplus raft to unlock any of the other rafts ;)
You can learn the vanillaplus on level 10, the other rafts are level 15...

We ended up putting the mod on, and our server loves it. We have one guy building a huge mobile base. I leave speedboats all over the map. Great mod.

We got a request from one user to maybe decrease the speed of the speedboat a little bit....

The only thing I've noticed, and I think this is with the core game raft, is that if a dino is sitting directly on a raft instead of a foundation, it causes the raft to rubberband constantly. But other than that, it's been working fine. But again, I'm pretty sure that's the core game and not the mod.
