In 1914 the naval focus "Dreadnought Effort" should be already completed or bypass-able because of what it offers. It gives a 1x 15% bonus to research the Duilio Class and Regina Margherita Class pre-dreadnoughts, and the "Dreadnought I" hull. The issue is that these are already researched and in service in 1914! So you need to waste 70 days of your focus tree doing this to get to Naval Gun Effort II. In summary, 1914 Italy should have the Naval Gun Effort I and Dreadnought Effort already completed, or else change what the Dreadnought effort does. It's current bonus makes no sense and is a deadspot in the tree at that start date.
Secondly, my first two research selections in artillery displayed a visual 15% bonus from "Infantry Weapons." I don't know if this is a UI issue, or actually coded. Artillery shouldn't get a research bonus from infantry equipment, unless this is some kind of compensatory mechanism the mod uses for balance.
Thirdly, the "Italian Claims" focus option is mostly superfluous. It gives claims on South Tyrol, Istria, Zara, and Dalmatia, but you already have the first three according to the game UI when you mouse over those provinces (1914 start). The only one you don't have is Dalmatia, so it only gives you one overall instead of four.
Also, other things that aren't "bugs" per say but moreso design issues are:
- That the Dreadnought I and Dante Alighieri (Dr II) have different icons in the Research menu from the Pre-Dreadnoughts, and yet in the actual ship designer where you can assign icons, only the Pre-Dreadnought is available as an option. This is annoying when actually using ships as they all look like the Pre-Dreadnoughts.
- The 1910 Italian small arm is a French Berthier Modele 1907. Italy never fielded this rifle. As far as I know, they just continually iterated on the Carcano 1891 right into WWII. An interesting thing here is that the research "effect" for the Berthier is that it 'Enables [the] Carcano M38." This doesn't make any sense since that rifle was released years late as a variant of the M91, and also because the stockpile lists them as Berthiers anyway, so it enables Berthiers obviously. Also the basegame 1936 research option for the "Carcano M1938" still exists with an effect which "Enables [the] Carcano Modello 1938." Both cannot be true.
- The 1921 weapon is just a 'Weapons IV" placeholder with a Thompson SMG. At least add some text to this since it's the only unlabled weapon in the sequence.
fix it please
Just a complain; in the 1910 scenario, sometimes the second balkan war finishes without the territorial annexations of Greece, Romania and Turkey from Bulgaria after the treaty event. Moreover, then a 'regular' war between Bulgaria and Romania breaks up, making the region oddly game-unstable...
In previous versions of the mod such problem did not occur!
In 1919 (around canonical war end) Germany and Austria only had a thin line between northern France and Odessa (in some places 2 tiles deep), so almost crushed. When suddenly the game lagged for a few seconds and Germany got restored to its pre-war boarders. My divisions that were in Germany went scattered all over Russia's territory (literally 150 divisions evenly placed from Moscow to Pacific). No events have popped up for me.
At the same time all the conquest made against Austria remained, as well as the little foothold the French had in German's territory.
