Hello Guys!

A quick reminder regarding crashes and people playing in Ironman. We've modified way too many files for this Mod to ever be Ironman Friendly.

Before reporting a bug, make sure that you are not playing Hearts of Iron IV: The Great War with additional Mods that could cause problems.

>>> FIX THE LAUNCHER {TUTORIAL} <<<

If the Great War Mod is falsely indicated as compatible with 1.8 and not 1.9.2 in the Launcher or if you have any other problems, follow these steps:
  • Close the HOI IV Launcher
  • Unsubscribe the Mod
  • Go to "\steamapps\workshop\content\394360" and delete the folder "699709023"
  • Go to "\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod" and delete "ugc_699709023.mod"
  • In Steam Settings, go to "Downloads" and select "CLEAR DOWNLOAD CACHE"
  • Subscribe again to the Mod, ENJOY!!! :guardian:

Hello,

First of all, your mod is really great, i prefer it compared to the original HOI4 WW2 scenario.

But, sometimes i have the same bug that the states don't have names (i don't use any other mods).
Exemple : "STATE-15"

Since the update of the 11/11/2020, this bug reappeard and i can't fix it, usually, i unistall and reinstall the mod and it works but today, i use your process in its entirety and it don't work so i come here to ask for help.

Ok i just undesrtand the problem.

When i play the game in english it's working. But, when i put it in french the states names are bugged. Even if i install the french translation of the mod, it don't work too.

I will play in english until it will be repaired.

Hey, my treaty of Versailles isn't popping :S I cant follow my focus tree, any way to fix it? I think the problem was Ottomans conquered Serbia before the war. A great war happened and the entente won. Now nearly 10 years have passed, no treaty of Versailles and everyone is still inside the Entente.
Anyway to force the event? Thanks!

Very random bug I had happen which i personally have no idea how it happened, Huge chunk of my main army as Germany had managed to push the Russians in to doing the treaty and them becoming the soviets suddenly, This well armed and lvl 4-5 army then i used to help Austria with some its issues with Britian landing its forces via naval landings, after a bit of that i decided to move my main army back through Austria to then move wherever else i planned to assault, but while in movement suddenly most the army died and in the war losses i can see a sudden 1.1 Million men died to Portugal somehow while in friendly land.
Honestly the most random and weird bug ive ever seen and makes no sense to me.

when Soviet Russia and Russian Empire splits war isnt triggered.. its 1935 now and both of them peacefuly exist

I installed the mod and activated it before opening the game but it didn't work nothing happend. Just classic hoi4 opened. what ım a need to do?

I tried your fix but afterwards it still downloads the wrong version, the one only stating it is compatible with 1.5.3. I followed all steps as shown twice, could you help with any other suggestions?

Hello,have a good day.Conflicts in the game start much later than they actually are.For example,the time the Ottoman Empire entered the war and the focus on the bombing of Russian ports are not compatible. Before this focus was completed in the game, the Ottomans actually bombed the harbor and went to war.Another important problem is that although the Gallipoli and Russia wars have already begun and ended in historical reality,the wars does not start even after years in the mod.I hope you will deal with these problems.Thank you very much for your valuable efforts.

issue playing as Spain

-Cannot release puppets, gets the error "Spain cannot release puppets until after the civilwar has concluded" and "Spain is an Anarchist Commune and may not release or puppet nations" in the Occupied Territories page
-unable to release Collaborating Governments for nations with 80%+ compliance (not sure if this is isolated to Spain) in the Events window, no popup event either

This impacts the immersion when trying to reconquer the spanish empire, unable to release Spanish Mexico etc.

I downloaded the mod, thought to play. I switched on and launched the game, but it did not work, that is, the classic version remained 1936-1939.

Started after installing this mod. Those. I open it, but it just doesn't work and a classic game of 1936-1939 appears. What should I do?

This game can be fun but it gets wacky if anything ahistorical happens. For instance, if Qinq actually wins the civil war, the event for the Chinese republic victory still appears. There have also been games where, after Huerta of Mexico takes power, a civil war happens led by the leader he killed. In the 1920 start date, the two powers in the hungarian civil war always white peace, I have never seen a game where that didn't happen. On the side note, I'd very much love events for the ottomans should they win the italian and 2nd balkan war. Otherwise, fun game. will surely put more time into playing

can you please fix the spanish tree because you need armor effort 2 which you have to wait until 1918 to start to end the quintas system which you need to complete nuevo dia which fixes the worst spanish problems
