Possible to win Xinhai revolution as Qing?
Pretty much what the title says, was playing this mod (which is really cool btw) but I have a feeling the Xinhai revolution is totally unfair to the Qing player. I kept losing territory to EVENTS. These events take away my troops and give chunks of land and more troops to the rebels. Like, come on, either make the revolutionary forces strong enough to win or don't. It feels super cheap to lose because the game decides I am supposed to lose.

That being said, is it possible to win the Xinhai revolution as Qing? Or is it just mandated that i am going to lose?

I don't know I think it's ok. Seems easier than ever to win it now. Make lots of small units using only guns right after* it breaks out and encircle and kill the rebels as fast as you can. Remember you have no attack at all so don't do a head on battle.

I see the AI win it about 1/4 times too now. That never use to happen.

The trouble is after you win it's kind of boring because there isn't much to do way over in asia. Maybe add a focus to join central powers or entente after a time or go after japan? or reclaim colonies idk.

Not only is it possible, that's what the AI ended up doing in my first game just now. The same event fires at the end, even if its nonsense.
