Also, am I missing something, or is there a way to remove the ELCAN's iron sight/holosight from the cycle? I want to cycle only between 1x and 4x (like the MRCO).
No one has been able to implement this next suggestion, but here it goes: semi-transparent optics. ELCANs and EOTechs are cool, but the frames of the optics take up so much of the screen, making it hard to see bad guys who are shooting back at me! Make the optic frames semitransparent (opacity down to about 40%). When shooting through a real optic with both eyes open, you see "around" the frame of the optic becuse you have two eyes. I understand that there is no way to toggle optic opacity, but couldn't the optic's model be permanently semi-transparent (except for the dot/crosshair - those should be at 100% opacity)? No, I don't care if it looks funny to run around with a "ghost" optic; optics with frames that obscure the enemy are simply death waiting to happen, which is why I still use the vanilla ACO and ARCO.

I literally never knew they existed until I just stared at one of the lowers of a random AR and saw their signature alongside the number.
While I'm at it, how many other obscure small-time manufactures are unheard of?
