Don't know if you read my comment,
but it was about research/heroes not giving bonuses to your greatsword units
(and someone mentioned also the missing anti-infantry tag for greatswords):

I tested it with "Improved Heavy Weapons" Tech, and backtracked the problem
by going from technology_effects_junction_tables -> effect_bonus_value_ids_unit_sets_tables.
Specific unit_set for the effect was "emp_greatswords"
which is missing in your "unit_set_to_unit_junctions_tables" for your greatsword units.


TLDR: Add another row for "wh_main_emp_inf_reiksguard_great" with "emp_greatswords" in
"unit_set_to_unit_junctions_tables"
