I want to download this mod but the money thing is the whole reason i'm not. The struggle of money management is inportant otherwise it's just another steamroll.

While I really enjoy the new battle mechanics, I have a feeling that my very hard campaign is ridiculously easy due to huge income starting from turn 1 and low upkeep of units.

Way too much money.

Okay thought maybe it was just me. Guess I'll hold off on using this right now as it feels like I am cheating when I use it. I loved everything else about it, but the income is way out of hand.

I tried to fix the issue of units being too easy to buy, so i increased the price of them by 10x, yet the ai and i (as the player) am still able to field full stacks of units without much effort. Money is definitely accessible imo.

This is my main concern as well. It is unfortunate because the battles are much improved (slower for one) but it is far too easy to obtain money.

I think that the vanilla's upkeep was fine.

Yeah, I am holding out on downloading this because of the upkeep change, I felt upkeep is pretty well balanced in vanilla atm and would be well suited to Radious combat. I enjoy slower more tactical battles, but I also enjoy not being able to field a stupid amount of armies full of top tier units. Having too many armies for each Faction takes more strategy out of the campaign and makes it too easy and "simple", i.e just countless stacks zerging. With less armies/high tier units, battles are more meaningful and enjoyable.

Even w/o this mod it's too easy to get money. Playing for Orcs I have about 15k income, because the only buildings you need in secured provinces are money makers and corruption controllers. + raiding, + sacking.

Yeah tbh if my memory serves me right I think I did have to use a radious sub mod to tweak the upkeep. Would be nice if someone could make this lol, I have no idea how to :(.

Evenatually, after awhile, there will probably be an option to pick and choose stuff about the mods economy army battles and units and such just like in previous titles. But this game is still very new and we probably wont see this for awhile. Its a lot of work for a game that will be changing very frequently for the next year or so. But like has been said already, this is how all of Radious mods work.

I agree, upkeep did not need tweaking, sad :/ I enjoy every other change.

Radious on the total war center forum : "Its a same debate last 4 years in last 4 TW games, we always had in Radious mods 1/3 or 1/2 upkeep from vanilla, always had way more armies and way more battles. Sorry, but this wont change, its the way how we see TW games should be and look like. "

And another thing to the question "Hello! I'm not a very big fan of the stat modifications but I am a fan of almost everything visual or AI changes, I remember the mods for previous games allowed you to install what changes you wanted, is it possible to get separate files for only the following?"

Radious responded : "No plans for it, it was extremely time consuming and complicated with every patch and dlc release. "
