The Radious Total War mod allows you to build up to three copies of each Regiment of Renown.

Which is stupid, because they are regiments of renown...

Can we limit it to 1 or 2? How within the pack file?

I would also like to be able to limit this back to one. Is there an option we can fiddle with?
Recruiting the same RoR seems a bit excessive

The AI abuses it excessively. I once defeated 3 vampire stacks just barely with three of my own. All three attacked the next turn loaded with ROR elite units. They seem to have unlimited gold and high tier ROR from early campaign. I would prefer a mercenary system with limited pools as in Attila.

Due to increased army limits each RoR can be recruited 3 times. Only avaialble for 4 main factions.

You do realise that the overall goal of "more unit variety" is directly undermined by this design choice?

Every major faction army stack carries a swath of RoR units ... instead of basically anything else. Its honestly quite boring and counter-intuitive compared to what I've come to expect from your mods over the years, I'm afraid to say.

Ideally, I'd like to see this be optional - failing that I'll keep editing the files myself after major updates of this mod.

Thanks for all your awesome work over the years!

Where can I remove it? I only play radious mod, can edit/mod pack files and would like to try a campaign without them.

With todays update there will be big change to all RoR units. After recruiting 1 it will start 10 turn cooldown before you can recruit second one from the same type. So it wont be possible to have spam of these units. 3 which is limit for each unit will now take 30 turns to build!

Thanks, makes it alot better :)

If people, who don't like to have 2 Regiments of RoR early, would have an ounce of self disciplin, it wouldn't have been necessary to limit all of them for everyone.
Those RoR doesn't recruit themselves...

Damn kiddies these days.

@Wolfen The concern is the AI abuse of it mid-game. It was barely OK in Attila when the AI loaded up on 5-10 units between turns. But the AI seems to gain access to elite units early game in Warhammer and use them to convert a harmless 4 unit stack to a 10-12 unit elite stack in 1 turn. In my personal version of WH, I make the weak ROR units more accessible than the elite ones. They are at mercenary_unit_groups in the pack file. On another notes, the pack files in Warhammer are a wilderness. I would like to see most of the records for each faction together rather than scattered across multiple files in effects_bundles and units.
