1. Plaster Tier - 10,0000 HP. Crafting Requirements: B.O.P. + Thatch + Wood
2. Wood Tier - 12,500HP
3. Stone Tier - 15,000HP. Crafting Requirements: B.O.P. + Bricks + Wood
Bucket of Plaster (B.O.P.) - Clay Ingots + Water + Flint
Bricks - Clay Ingots + Brick Tray Baked in Medieval Forge
Nails .. smithy - metal (would require a BP and 1 engram point)
Nails .. Medieval Forge : Metal + (flint maybe or charcoal)?
The default set uses raw wood which I equate to a log cabin. Lumber is used as a finalized product.
So instead of nail replace that maybe with a hand saw. 2 Wood + 1 Hand Saw = Lumber & 19/20th Hand Saw? Using hand saw dulls the blade and blade must be sharpened. I do have a sharpening stone. Just didn't know what I could use it with.
Thoughts?
Crafted in a smithy using wood fibre and metal.
We can pretend that hand saw's where white goods back in them times, so once they dull, throw them away and use a new one.
Hence
Wood tier = 50 wood + 10 Hand Saws (for example)
Would it be possible to have the hand saw engram pre built into the smith ? so no more points are needed to purchase it ? or set the engram point cost to 0 (with a pre requisite of knowing the smithy
You would have to have the saw equipped and take damage each time a wood structure is placed.
Would you add a sawing animation to it ?
Maybe this is something that could be added into the mod at a later date.
Using the handsaws as a resource time sink is ample for now. You can always revisit it at a l8r date.
just make all the structures "stone-type" with the same HP as vanilla stone so people can make nice-looking homes without worrying about dino damage or pvp balance. nobody seriously builds with wood-type - it would only discourages players from actually using the mod
aesthetic-only, please
