My thoughts on this quest.
I do not like this quest in its current state. The use of an exploit that breaks the game causes this to not be fun in any way shape or form.

Your Hermit wizards spawn rats to immobilize a target, breaking his script to be able to path find or move or anything. You might as well cast a permanent turn to stone on him because thats what you're doing. If anything but a ranger goes after him, they die, because they get trapped and their target is still set to him and they can't path find anymore. When a ranger or someone else tries to flee, they stop attacking everything, stand there and die, because they can't run being surrounded like that, and they can't go "hey, monsters are blocking my path, maybe I should attack before I flee." and that makes this the biggest problem in this quest.

On top of that, you start spawning severe death events after just two days, no where near enough time to prepare. If he should spawn zombies at day 2 to 4, its a 100% chance of losing. They over run everything. If he should spawn a black phantom within the first 5-6 days, it's a 100% chance of losing every single hero you have, possibly the game too as he destroyed 3 of my max level guard houses and all my heroes at day 5. Every time I hear him summon evil, I pray like hell its the shadow beasts because at least they are barely defeatable.

When I had built an outpost finally, and some guard houses around it and a trade post near it, he sent 3 earth quakes in a row to destroy my outpost and everything around it. So I cheated to rebuild it because that was in its self ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t. He did it again. And again. Monsters and earth quakes out the ♥♥♥♥ing ♥♥♥ on my outpost. So I ended up cheating the rest of the game to see what other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t would keep happening. I found out that every time I repaired using the restoration cheat, he would cast yet another earth quake and either it was because of the cheat, or because he hadn't destroyed the target building yet, or you didn't script a delay in between his attacks so he kept randomly deciding to cast earth quake again and again.

I got to day 40 and ♥♥♥♥ just got worse, 3 severely bad events in a row, zombies and phantom and shadow beasts. This is all at once even. He seems to spawn things 3-4 times a day sometimes, even within a few seconds at normal game speed.

I qualify this map as unwinable in its current state. You might get lucky and not be hit by the severe scripts, but this map doesn't involve skill anymore. It just involves pure luck in hoping the randomness generator you have doesn't smite you down by slapping a nuclear missile in your face on days 2-8 (lots of those evil spawns), and then hoping he doesn't hit you with a triple antimatter bomb on days 25-45 (earth quakes).

I have down voted mostly due to the use of a game breaking exploit, but partially because the script you used does not give any sort of repair duration between certain events and calls some game ending events right there on day 2, right after you finish building everything and spending all your money.

The only thing I liked that was unique, or rather two unique things,
Splitting rock golem, that was neat.
Being able to continue after win at an increased difficulty. Though, I think you should add 25% to his level, rather than just add 5 more levels each time. Static leveling isn't very good, so do an exponential.

I will re-rate this game if it changes at all, but I will leave the bad rating so long as it keeps using the exploit that breaks the game. Feel free to add me if you want to discuss things further. I can also record the gameplay and put it on youtube too, if you want to see my play style attempts.

My strategy to solve the surrounded-by-rats issue was to use all ranged heroes for the bulk of this quest. This allows you to use Rangers, Rogues, Priestesses, Wizards, Elves, and Cultists, as they often target the enemy Wizards quickly and can reach him from within the "ratpack".

I agree that this is a more difficult quest. I had to reload it a few times myself, but I think it's generally well-designed; just takes some thinking-through to beat. :)
