I appear to have a similar issue. The VIP room was inaccessable. I couldn't open the door or blow a hole in the wall and the VIP is unable to hack the door.
Was only able to attempt opening the door with one of my original four soldiers (not a specialist-didn't even have any available to see if that was why which i'm assuming it isn't)
Tried opening from the sides of the door and the door tile itself. No luck.
An Advent soldier was able to pass through the door.
I agree with other people that it's weird a VIP is playable in his/her locked cell that is intact. :)
I assumed it was because the cell might be vulnerable to explosives and you had control of the VIP so that you could move him to the other side of the cell to prevent him from taking damage. However, you can't break the wall down with anything as far as I know. Plasma grenades may work, doubtful though.
Seems to be crashing on the last character's turn the turn after the mission timer expires. When I restart and reload, it then starts crashing for any character in any turn, including the wo earlier autosave turns.
Anyone else experienced an issue like this?
I'm getting this crash, and it seems to be related to a soldier panicking, but I can't be sure.
