Not sure what to do with Babies
I've never bred before so I dont have experience doing it in Ark, however, I generally enjoy breeding in what games allow that sort of thing, but in Ark the process seems extremely punitive for casual play and very time consuming.

So the idea of pre-hatched babies seems appealing, but I'm not sure how they work within the breeding mechanics.

Do you KO them like normal and once tamed they become exactly like a baby of that 'age'? (Juvenile, adolescent, etc) Then the breeding process just picks up from there as if you had hatched and grown a baby to that stage?

Is that even what the babies are for? Or are they just there to add some spice and a source of prime meat? It just occurred to me the mod never said anything about being able to tame/raise them. Just that there are babies.

Thanks! I REALLY like this mod and the colors it brings. I cannot imagine playing without it now. :sadelf:

The babies were added before they added imprinting etc, just as a bit of variety :D They work exactly like you said though, KO them and tame as per usual, however have plenty of their preferred food on hand as they will tame faster (due to being hungry babies) and then require food just like normal babies once tame. If you then unclaim and re-claim the baby you should be able to imprint it :)

Hey thanks a ton for coming to clarify personally! I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw your mod was current and worked, after realizing there were color mods and discovering they either added other things I didnt want or were abandoned. I was literally giddy, and it makes my game a ton more enjoyable, I'm sure other people who use it agree that it's great!

I've always been in love with variant colors in video games. The best example is I would spend weeks playing Mega Man BLANK just because of all the cool color combos you got from beating bosses. It was the same model, but different! I always wanted to play Luigi in Super Mario brothers because he was the same, but different.

Now I can tame crazy ass looking Anklyo's, because they're the same, but different!

Thanks again for your work, your time, and your clarifying how the babies work. I wish there was something I could do to assist you but I highly doubt there is. If there is, just say so! :steamhappy:

You have no idea how drab the game is when you have to go back because of crazy devkit problems until it happens and then its fairly boring.
