Is *_ModShaderCache.upk necessary for this mod?
According to this page some mods can delete *_ModShaderCache.upk to clear out 85MB of unnecessary junk.

That file takes up like 90% of the size of your mod, so it's worth investigating if it's actually necessary.

It definitely needs the shader cache as I am not re-using textures or materials that X2 already has in their project. There might be an issue with it duplicating references because the package is external.....I will definitely take a look though, thanks for the head's up.

I did some more digging, see this page[forums.nexusmods.com].

The 85MB file is a bug. Apparently you just need to delete it and rebuild, and ModBuddy will recreate a smaller one (usually a few hundred KB).

Yeah I found that as well. Thanks again for the head's up, I have already re-uploaded the mod with the small cache. 16K now. :)
